Mohamed Benyaich was destined to become an artist. In all professional grounds, the term “autodidact” has a rather pejorative meaning. But, fortunately, there are men who lose other people’s respect and start being really productive and creative, mastering their faith. That is exactly what happened to Benyaich in its hometown, Tetouan. He gave up on the administrative paperwork to give birth to light from a drop of ink. Arms, legs, improbable eyes, diabolical faces, crowded streets, lonely men, twisted machines… The artist uses his overflowing creativity and limitless imagination to build a special world, his world, far from urban virtuosities and futility. Benyaich captivates the public because his work does not require explanations.
