Lives and works in Tunis
Graduating with a degree in interior architecture from the Higher Institute of Fine Arts in Tunis, Tunisia (ISBAT) in 2006 and an English diploma from the Dublin School of English in 2008, Walid Ardhaoui's notable exhibitions include Al Mahjouz at El Teatro, Tunisia (2016), and Isthme at A Gorgi, Carthage, Tunisia (2017). Ardhaoui's works have also been featured in the 2017 edition of Jaou Tunis, centered around the theme of "The Migrant Nation," organized by the Kamel Lazaar Foundation, which also permanently hosts some of his works. Other exhibitions include A Line, A Trace... at Gorgi Gallery in Sidi Bou Saïd, Tunisia (2018), Thresholds in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia (2019), 1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair in London (2019), and Investec Cape Town Art Fair in Cape Town, South Africa (2020). Walid Ardhaoui's art captures the complexities of identity, culture, and migration, inviting viewers to engage with the intricacies of the human experience.
