"Hamidi is one of the founders of modern art in Morocco. When we consider historic documentation, we see him with others at the Casablanca School, in debates reprinted in Souffles, at Jamaâ El Fna ... When we look at his work, especially in its historic dimension, we discover a wealth of perspective worthy of a great artist. I have always said that he has been the victim of injustice that must one day be addressed. Returning to his work and revealing it to the public seems urgent to me.”
